Huge College Football Weekend

Benjamin and I will be camped in front of the tv tomorrow at noon to watch the Terps take on Boston College. Huge game for both teams (see earlier thread). We like the Terps in another close game, 20-17. In tomorrow's other Big Game of the Day, Benjamin took a moment to pick the team he likes....

He likes Michigan in a 27-24 thriller.

The night before this season's biggest College Football game, College Football lost one of the best coaches in NCAA history. The former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler died today at 77. In reports presented by ESPN and ABC news; Schembechler's heart may have not been able to take all the excitement and build-up of tomarrow's game. It is also stated that he had a heart-attack the night before the Rose Bowl in 1970. Schembechler was a seven-time Big Ten coach of the year, compiling a 194-48-5 record at Michigan from 1969-89. His record in 26 years of coaching was 234-65-8. He never had a losing season. Impressive! Read More...

I wouldn't say Maryland was WAY overrated. Living on the edge, yes, absolutely. Rutgers, on the other hand, was WAY overrated and they got drilled by Cincinnati tonight. They face an execution at West Virginia next week.

My friend John said after the Terps-Miami game that the Terps were due for a throttling and unfortunately for us Terps fans, it came today at BC. All is not lost though. They can win the division if Miami can beat BC and the Terps take care of business at home vs Wake.

Michigan-Ohio State was absolutely incredible. Must see on ESPN Classic again.
