Benjamin Meets Greivis Vasquez

Former Maryland Terps Guard Greivis Vasquez appeared at a memorabilia store nearby our house last Saturday so we went and I got this pic of the two of them. Benjamin and Greivis high fived one another, Greivis was very cool and he signed a picture I took from the Eastern Kentucky game last year. That was Benjamin's first Maryland Basketball game.

Overall, a very fun experience for Benjamin.

Michael Lee of The Washington Post wrote an article on Greivis and his time during the NBA Summer League this past July. Greivis Vasquez remains confident despite struggling in NBA Summer League

We got to the store early and I saw Greivis was using crutches and wearing a cast as he entered the store. Later I found out he underwent surgery on his right ankle after NBA Summer League play to remove a bone spur. The surgery was successful and he is expected to return for training camp in late September.

He gave us Terp fans a lot of thrills in his four years at Maryland and like all former Terps, I want nothing but the best for him in his NBA career.
