I went to Virginia Tech to pick up Ben for Thanksgiving break. It will be his first time
home since we dropped him off back in August. His first semester is going by fast! He will
be home a little over a week.
This trip I decided to stay overnight as with the time change it gets dark a lot earlier
now. It was relaxing and fun catching up with Ben over dinner Wednesday night.
While Ben was in class on Thursday morning, I took a walk around campus. It was cold and
windy and while the walk felt great, this gave me a chance to reassess Ben's Winter clothing
options for the next few months. Sweatshirts and hoodies won't cut it walking across Drillfield
in mid-February. Thankfully LL Bean still mails out catalogs so we will be sure to go through
it and order things he needs over break.
The drive to and from campus was uneventful, which is always good. I will take Ben back
on the Friday after Thanksgiving as we are going to the football game on Saturday vs UVA.
