Decided to take the Metro into Washington DC. I saw the National Museum of African American History and Culture. I spent close to three hours inside but that wasn't nearly enough time so a future return trip is necessary.
I walked to the business district where I worked for a time in the mid '80's to mid '90's, had a late lunch at The Bottom Line, my go to spot. Still the best burger in DC. After that I decided to walk into Georgetown. It has been a little over ten years since I was last there. Along the way I remembered the bars frequented, the concerts at The Bayou, celebrating the Redskins Super Bowl wins and the record stores I shopped at.
Fun day. I got a lot of steps in and apologies to my seat mate on the Silver line Metro headed back to Virginia as I dozed off and probably snored. Tired, but love venturing into DC.
